Sunset at Twelve Thousand Feet

This photo was taken the evening before we summitted Mt. Whitney (the highest peak in the 48 contiguous states). We shared our high-altitude campsite with a wonderful couple who also live right here in central Florida. We live so close, yet the only time we'll probably ever meet was hundereds of miles away, separated from civilization, in the shadow one intimidating mountain.

The True Owners of Central Florida

Every once in a while you can get this close to the sandhill cranes without getting attacked. I think they were almost ready to come get me. (If you look closely, you can probably see the hint of animosity in the closer one's eyes.) Fortunately, I escaped unscathed.

Ephasus

A view inside an entrance tunnel to the amphitheater in Ephasus. Maybe the Apostle Paul walked through this tunnel. Reading Acts 19 in the Bible takes on a whole new "feel" after standing in the theater in Ephasus.

The Evening Shift

Somewhere in Turkey, along the coast of the Aegean, a lone fisherman prepares to head out to sea as the sun quietly sets in the background.

Thai Restaurant

Welcome to the "thunderstorm state." Brady and I strolled around downtown Orlando shooting photos one rainy Saturday afternoon. I snagged this shot while trying to capture this stree with the Thai Restaurant in the background. Hopefully I'll get to sample their food one day.

Alien Camel

This photo was taken in Turkey, in the Kapadokia region. The region is known for its cave dwellings, carved into the soft stone. They look like they belong in the pages of a sci-fi comic. The region is not known for its camels. I think this guy felt out of place.

Maybe I'll update this blog...

I have a few other blogs. I don't ever write anything on them. At least not recently. Maybe I'll do better with this one.
