This photo was taken the evening before we summitted Mt. Whitney (the highest peak in the 48 contiguous states). We shared our high-altitude campsite with a wonderful couple who also live right here in central Florida. We live so close, yet the only time we'll probably ever meet was hundereds of miles away, separated from civilization, in the shadow one intimidating mountain.
